Boyd Chan

My name is Boyd and I’m a Service Management Specialist with a knack for operational data gathering, transformation, analysis and reporting. In 2012, I obtained my Masters of Science in Information Technology through the University of New South Wales @ The Australia Defence Force Academy (UNSW@ADFA). I was also part of an online community known as the Panasonic Insider Crew in the capacity of “Insider Guru” for Panasonic Australia where I interacted with other tech enthusiasts and find out more about Panasonic's latest gadgets. I love technology, gadgets, and the Internet and maintain a keen interest in these areas locally, nationally, and globally. I hope by sharing my views on these topics that people will receive an honest point of view from someone with a genuine interest in these topics. I have also written and edited articles for Neowin - you can check out my articles over @ https://www.neowin.net/news/poster/boyd_chan I hope you enjoy reading my blog!

You might notice when you fire up particular apps on Windows Phone 8 that you might see an icon at the top of the screen that looks like a circle with a dot in the middle of it. Perhaps not the most self-explanatory icon but here’s what it means. All it means is that an app …

Hard Case Cover for Nokia Lumia 920

Despite the Nokia Lumia 920 receiving some feedback about general robustness against being dropped it can’t hurt to give it a little bit of extra protection so you keep it in good condition even if something unfortunate should happen. Anyway, I found a great cover on eBay for AU$1.74 which will do a good job at …

This isn’t your standard microwave oven as it steam, grill and roasts as well. I had a delicious time trying out the various functions and experimenting with the built-in cooking programs with …

Improved Ergonomics for Aching Elbows

Over the last few months, I’ve had an increasing number of discomfort in my elbows. Despite treatment from the chiropractor the discomfort has come and gone. Admittedly, I spend a lot of time in front of a computer to make a living but I do fit in some physical activity most days usually in the …
