Copy Ringtones to an ICS Android Smartphone

A lot of people love to customise their smartphones and one popular thing to do is change the ringtones and even set unique ones for each person who calls.

If you’ve got a more recent Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) smartphone then all you have to do is connect it to your computer and copy your MP3 ringtones to the Ringtones folder on the device. You might have two drives show up when you connect the smartphone but I’d usually recommend putting the ringtones on the drive called Phone as that storage will always be available while the storage on the Card drive will become absent if you remove the SD card from the device (if you have one).
