Here’s a quick tip for those of you using Windows Phones out there.
If you “Walshed” your phone because you were annoyed with how long the NoDo update was taking to come through (and a lot of people fell into this bucket) then you might not know you have inadvertently caused your phone to potentially be unable to receive any future updates. This is bad news particularly when security updates are released as you won’t be able to install them.
Chris Walsh, the creator of the original hack, has created a fix for this situation. The instructions and installations files can be found on his website for both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows. This will be important so you can be prepared for the Mango update which is shaping up to be a massive update containing around five hundred new features (almost makes me want to go out and get my own handset to see what sort of difference this update will create).
So whilst you shouldn’t rush the process you might want to do this sooner rather than later so you can receive the Mango update as soon as it is made available.
