Particularly for the web designers there comes a time when you need to view your content in a variety of different resolutions. This often needs to be done to ensure that a webpage displays and works correctly in lower resolutions where screen real estate can often be at a premium. Otherwise, capturing video of a particular window can be made difficult if your the sizing doesn’t exactly match expected resolutions on video sharing services such as YouTube. This can result in your videos looking a bit jagged, blurry or blocky.
Anyway, I have found a great little freeware tool which you can use to perfectly size your windows to a given resolution called Sizer.
The software comes with a resolutions already included but you can add more (I have added 720p and 1080p resolutions). Setting a window to a given resolution is fairly straightforward and can be achieved by right clicking on the title bar and click on “Resize/reposition” and choosing your desired resolution.
This might just be another one of those useful little applications to put in your toolkit to make your job a bit easier.
