This is a bit of a late Christmas present but I have been in need of headphones to use whilst at the gym specifically for use on exercise equipment (like the treadmill and cross-trainer). I am usually careful when I am watching my video podcasts on these machines but I have had a few near misses when my hand or arm has gotten tangled in the stereo cable and threatened to take my tablet or smartphone with it.
So, the answer was to go cordless however I still wanted to have noise cancellation to block out the hum of the gym equipment, the background noise and to a lesser extent the music playing in the gym. Noise cancellation works best with consistent and prolonged noises rather than variable noise such as music though.
After some research I thought I would go for the Logitech UE 9000 headphones. They are Bluetooth headphones which are also capable of being used for phone calls. However, you can also use the provided stereo cable as well if you fancy saving battery power. It also packs in active noise cancellation so I will be keen to hear how they compare against my Panasonic RP-HC700 headphones on all fronts.
I’ve ordered these from Amazon given that I could get them cheaper from the USA compared to locally even with shipping and currency conversion taken into account. Once they arrive I will let you know 🙂
