Disable the Sticky Keys Prompts in Windows

Don’t you just hate it when you’re playing a game and you are mashing the shift key only to be mercilessly thrown back to the desktop with a StickyKeys prompt? If you’re playing an online game it could mean the difference between winning or losing a narrow game.

Fortunately, it is fairly easy to turn this off under Windows 7 and 8:

  1. Hit the shift key five times,
  2. Click the link that says Go to the Ease of Access Center to disable the keyboard shortcut,
  3. Ubtick Turn on Sticky Keys and untick Turn on Sticky Keys when SHIFT is pressed five times,
  4. Click OK.

That should stop and unexpected disruptions to your gaming 🙂
