And the Windows Phone 8 Handset is…

… the Nokia Lumia 920 🙂

I shortlisted three flagship Windows Phone 8 handsets as a potential new smartphone given my recent acquisition of a Microsoft Surface tablet and using Windows 8 on my desktop computer at home. For the record, there was nothing wrong with my Samsung Galaxy S III (which is going to one of my folks) and it is still one of my picks if you are in the market for a great Android smartphone – I’ll share more of my thoughts on it in the near future.

Rightly or wrongly, Windows Phone 8 handsets have been marked down in some reviews for the relatively small selection of apps for the platform compared to Android and iOS. No doubt, apps are an important aspect to any smartphone experience but I think there needs to be some consideration that Windows Phone is playing catch up but it is far from an app ghost town with tumbleweeds blowing through it.

Anyway, stay tuned for the unboxing video!
