How to Search in Windows 8 Metro Apps
Here’s a quick tip for those using Windows 8 or looking to get into it soon.
If you’re in a Windows 8 “Metro app” (yes, it’s a deprecated name but the one that people seem to recognise the most) you might find yourself wondering how on earth you perform a search inside the app. Right clicking might not help you out so in the absence of all then text menus we’ve come to know and love in traditional applications you might be forgiven for being stumped.
All you need to remember is when in doubt, try hitting Win+C on the keyboard (or the charms button if you keyboard happens to have one – most of us won’t at the time of writing though). The first option in the list should be Search and you should be off and running.
