Microsoft SkyDrive Upgrade
Just a quick note for the SkyDrive users out there.
Microsoft SkyDrive application for Windows has received an update but unfortunately the client software doesn’t look like it will automatically update itself. That’s a little disappointing that other Microsoft products use Windows Update as the updating mechanism such as Microsoft Office and Microsoft Security Essentials and Microsoft.
Anyway, you can click here to download the updated client – major fixes include performance and compatibility updates to improve robustness plus a new status window when you click on the SkyDrive icon in the system tray. There’s also a new Metro-style icon for SkyDrive ahead of the Windows 8 launch but that’s not terribly exciting for most 🙂
