Mango Mandatory for Windows Phone Marketplace
Here’s a quick note for today.
If you have a Windows Phone device and are wondering why the Windows Phone Marketplace pops up error messages when attempting to download an app or update an existing app then this bit of information is for you.
From today onwards, Windows Phone 7.5 AKA Mango is the minimum OS vesion allowed to download from the Windows Phone Marketplace.
The solution is fairly simple, connect your handset to your computer, force a check for updates in Zune and execute all available updates for your device. Depending how many updates are available it may take a while to complete but this helps ensure that you are getting the best possible experience in Windows Phone (particularly with regards to live tiles).
