Unthaw Frozen Mac OS X Lion With an Automatic Reboot
Here’s another quick Mac OS X Lion tip.
Sometimes, you can be left staring at the spinning beach ball on your screen completely uncertain as to whether or not you will ever get control of your Mac (often called the “spinning beach ball of death”). Sometimes it will come good but other times it won’t despite attempting to exercise seemingly infinite patience.
The good news is under Lion you can now take the guesswork out of such occurrences.
All you need to do is head into the System Preferences and then the Energy Saver section. In this window, you’ll find an option labelled “Restart automatically if the computer freezes”. Tick this option and close the window and Mac OS X will take care of the rest for you.
