This was an unexpected gadget but a colleague of mine recently bought a new computer to replace an aging laptop that gave up the ghost earlier in the year. Anyway, he’s handed over his Dell XPS 8300 to me to do some basic tweaking for him.
So, of course, I had to unbox it. I also cover some of the important specs such as the CPU and GPU and go around the case identifying the various ports and sockets. I may do a follow up video to show off the insides of the computer if people are interested as there has apparently been some concerns with available space inside the case for expansion cards (such as a FireWire card as this machine doesn’t have any on board which is a problem for some video cameras).
In the meantime, enjoy the unboxing video!
FYI – the video will be available in up to 720p (YouTube can take a little while to process the higher resolutions) if you right click on the video and choose “Watch on YouTube” and change the resolution setting.
