Particularly for those of us who work a bit with a command line it can often be a pain to manually change directories if you want to wade more than about four folders deep. Luckily, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 contain a handy little feature to get to a folder quickly.
Simply hold down the shift key and right click on the folder in which you want to open a command prompt.
One neat thing about this trick is if you do it on a network folder, Windows will mount it as a mapped drive and then your command prompt. However, this won’t get you to an administrative command prompt which may be more useful depending upon your situation.
