This one caught me by surprise but about a week ago a native Foxtel guide application for iPad was released.
As far as features go, the app offers exactly the same functionality available in the iPhone version. This means that you can still set recordings and reminders from within the application (provided you have a Foxtel online account linked to your STU) and view the entire TV guide and program synoptic information. This can be especially handy if you are out and about and realise you wanted to watch something.
At least for me, the best part of the app is that it runs at the native resolution of the iPad and it is more comfortable to navigate than the iPhone. I would still have liked Foxtel to have added some special features for the iPad such as streaming access to downloadable content but perhaps they are giving themselves to room to improve in the future.
Even if you don’t use Foxtel, it could still be handy for those of you who have free-to-air television and you are curious as to what is on the box.
