Major Milestone – 100,000 Visits :)

Okay, it’s time to blow the old trumpet here 🙂

Last night, the blog racked up its 100,000th visit to the site and 125,000 pageviews since things kicked off on 30/01/2010. That’s not too bad at all given that this started off as a bit of a hobby to help keep me in the swing of writing in between university semesters. As this year draws to the close so will my studies for my Master of Science in Information Technology.

I am also hoping that my YouTube channel will also crack 100,000 views before the end of the year. With just shy of 85,000 views since it started up on 04/12/2010 and about 300 views a day in recent history that looks to be quite possible (fingers crossed)! Certainly, the unboxing videos have proved rather popular (notably the Sony PlayStation 3) as well as the How to Install XBMC on Raspberry Pi video. The most popular video has been the Panasonic SC-BTT755 3D Blu-ray Home Entertainment system review with 15,400 views – I remember being rather conscious of staying under the fifteen minute before that limit was lifted on my YouTube account!

Anyway, to everyone who follows regularly and to those who might only visit once or twice to find some useful information to fix a problem I say, “thanks for visiting!” While my initial motivation for the blog may no longer exist with the approaching conclusion of tertiary studies (at least for a little while anyway) I will still churn out an entry everyday for the forseeable future 🙂
