Boydo Becomes a Panasonic Insider Guru

Here’s a bit of news that I have been sitting on for a few weeks that I can now finally share with the world.

I have been involved with the Panasonic Insider Crew since late last year and my membership application saw me win the Panasonic VIErA Full-HD 3D Neo Plasma TV that I unboxed and thoroughly tested and reviewed. For those who don’t know, the Panasonic Insider Crew is an exclusive group of people from around the country who get access to information about Panasonic’s latest products, product launch events and even the opportunity to get into some product testing. It’s coordinated by a “word of mouth” marketing agency called Soup who run a number of other product feedback for a number of other brands and products.

You may also recall that I attended Panasonic’s 2011 Launch Event earlier in the year and also shared information live from the event via Twitter – Soup involved a good number of the Insider Crew at both the simultaneous Sydney and Melbourne events and even had some interstate Insiders come along too.

Recently, a new online forum has been created for the Insider Crew to talk about Panasonic’s product line up and events, provide general feedback as well as general chat. As part of the launch, there was the opportunity to apply to moderate the forum, prompt discussion and dialogue amongst the Insiders and get more involved with some of the things Panasonic are doing in the market. I thought I could spare a bit of time (alongside work and university stuff) to make the opportunity work if I got through and it seemed like a natural extension of what I do here with the blog.

Well, the long and short of it is that I was successful in my application and it’s pretty exciting to say the least. I’ve already been to Soup HQ and Panasonic HQ to get a look at what’s coming up and provide some feedback too. Rest assured, I’ll be sharing what I can on the blog and in the Twitter feeds to keep you in the loop.

Stay tuned!
