Access Accented and Special Characters Easily in Mac OS X Lion
Here is a quick tip for tonight.
On the odd occasion you might need to use accented characters like “é” or “ç” or even “ß” but don’t want to go through the chore of finding that character somewhere else and doing a copy and paste.
Luckily, under Mac OS X 10.7 you can hold down the relative base letter for the character you are after and a selection window will pop up with several options. Don’t worry, holding down the key will not cause a stream of the same character to spew out of the keyboard.
Give it a try, you’ll be amazed by its simplicity!
