Poor Fitbit Battery Life
Unfortunately for me, my Fitbit One started having a bout of rather poor battery life lasting two or three days per charge rather than the seven to ten days that had been norm since first power up. There could have been a whole stack of reasons as to why this was the case but I will just conclude that it was a dud battery inside it.
Anyway, after contacting Fitbit and conducting some troubleshooting (including resetting the Fitbit) they have kindly shipped out a replacement unit and told me to recycle the old one thoughtfully. I’ll see how the new one goes.
I’m not going to pass judgement at this point in time as my first Fitbit was still going strong in terms of its battery after over two years of usage but its plastic body was not keeping up. The Fitbit One has fared much better but I am just going to treat this issue as a blip on the radar.
