Bargain Basement Book – Programming Windows, 6th Edition
A heads up for the budding programmers out there.
Charles Petzold is working on the next edition of his Programming Windows book which is now available while Windows 8 is in its developmental stages (with the Consumer Preview being the most recent stage of development). It’s available for a song at $10 for the ebook version (in a choice of ePub, Mobi or PDF formats) until Windows 8 hits its final release when the price will rise to $50.
The good news is if you buy now, you’ll get all of the updates to the book at no additional cost for $10 which is a pretty good deal if you’re remotely interested in learning how to program apps for Windows 8. Mind you, the $10 price is only available until May 31st, 2012 after which the price will raise by $10 periodically until the $50 price is reached in Novevember 15th, 2012.
