Just a follow up to my blog from yesterday about problems getting my Tru SIM from Truphone to work.
After second call after an initial attempt to fix it just after midnight this morning things were fixed up late this morning after doing another round of rebooting and SIM ejection and insertion. I even wiped my phone to try and fix the problem but it looked like it was unnecessary in the end. Perhaps coincidental but as I was following the instructions in their e-mail response this morning (which was sent after I missed their two phone calls) to try calling out and sending text messages I started receiving text messages from their support team asking me to reboot the phone again.
Well, I rebooted the phone again and everything was working as it should. All up it took just over 12 elapsed hours to get things up and running.
Ideally, this should have all worked straight off the bat but it was good to know that the problem could be fixed up. I have no idea what the problem was though but I guess the advice here is if you have any problems you should give them a call on:
- 707 (a free call wherever you are provided your calls aren’t barred),
- +61 (2) 8999 4200 (Australia)
- +44 (203) 318 0742 (United Kingdom)
- +1 (646) 360 1689 (USA)
Another great aspect of the service is their support is available 24/7 so no matter where you are in the world you can rely on being able to talk to someone if you need help with your account.
Anyway, my experience so far has been good but the real test will be when I go overseas!
