Firefox Aurora Channel May Require Several Updates
Another quick tip for tonight.
If you are close to the bleeding edge when it comes to the Firefox browser without being on the nightly releases you’ll be on the Aurora channel. This update channel only releases the most recent build that works (somewhat) compared to some nightly builds that might not work at all.
Anyway, if you leave your browser open for several days at a time you may miss one or several updated builds. Annoyingly, it seems that you need to apply each updated build in sequence which means if you missed three new builds you’d need to update Firefox three separate times. Whilst this might not be such a big deal for some people I do find it a pain particularly when I have had a large number of tabs open in my last session.
So next time you are closing your Firefox browser that is on the Aurora channel you might want to check that there aren’t any more updates waiting before you start on a browsing spree.
