Since obtaining my Microsoft Surface I have gone without a screen protector and case which is in contrast to what I had in place for my aging, original iPad. The Surface has held up well despite a lack of case apart from a minor chip in the finish on one corner. That said, I figured it was time to get the Surface fitted out with at least some form of protection.
I was wary of going for a case as most of the case I have seen obstruct the kickstand from being used and I didn’t want to add unnecessary bulk to the tablet. After some searching, I came across a selection of vinyl decal skin kits from NevSkin.
I didn’t want my tablet to scream for attention so ultimately I selected a black woodgrain skin which also comes with matching wallpaper for the Start Screen. I really liked the look of this skin as it is black like the Surface whilst still offering an interesting pattern. I actually purchased mine through the eBay shop so I will have to see if I end up getting the matte of glossy version of the skin but if you purchase through their actual website you have the ability to choose. Either way, I’m not terribly fussed but you might like the choice.
Anyway, the skin is on its way so I’ll let you know how it goes 🙂
