YouTube Video Downloading Without Java
A while back, I wrote about how you could use KeepVid to download videos from YouTube but with recent increases in the exploitation of Java I thought I would provide an alternative.
YouTube Downloader HD is a native Windows or Mac OS X application that does not require Java in order to run plus it can download videos at up to Full HD quality if it is available. It comes in a version with an installer or you can use a portable version that will run off a USB stick or standard drive without needing access to the registry. It’ll also convert videos only available in FLV (Flash Video) format to XVID or MP4 formats just to cover additional bases.
Not a bad little utility to keep on hand just in case you need it!
