Remove Staples Before Scanning Documents
This might sound obvious to some but others may just completely forget about it.
Before you put documents into an ADF (automatic document feeder) you should make sure there aren’t any staples holding pages together. Best case, all the pages go through unscathed at the same time or the scanner refuses to load the paper. Worst case, you seriously screw up your scanner with paper and a stable stuck inside it.
Sure, removing the staple might be a pain but it’ll be less expensive and time consuming than getting your scanner repaired or replaced.
