Cheaper Lightning Cables
Let’s cut to the chase – Apple wants you to lay down $25 for a Lightning to USB cable. You might only need one or two in addition to the one that you got with your iPhone or iPad (i.e. the original cable for home, one for the car and one for work) but $50 could buy you lunch during the work week.
eBay does offer some cheaper alternatives and I’ve picked up three of these ones for AU$2.99 a pop from China. I bought some iPod dock connector to USB cables from eBay recently for the same price which did a good job but it will be interesting to see if these Lightning to USB cables will be of good quality given the smarts built in to the cable.
Anyway, stay tuned!
