Nokia Nostalgia for Lumia Handsets
Once upon a time, Nokia was the kingpin when it came to mobile phones and mobile photography was very much in its infancy. The quality was rather average at best but it helped spur on MMS traffic before data took off in a big way.
Anyway, Nokia has been known to provide a raft of exclusive apps for its Lumia handsets running Windows Phone and it has brought out a new one called Pixel Heritage. Essentially, this app emulates the camera and interface of eight old school Nokia handsets from the Nokia 6610i through to the N95 with the ability to add some funky effects like Instagram such as:
- random bad pixels,
- haziness,
- noise / compression artefacts,
- lens dust.
It’s a bit of fun to relive the days of old or maybe check out what mobile photography was like last decade in order to gain an appreciation for exactly how far things have progressed since then.

If you can’t find this app in the Windows Phone Store just click on this link on your Lumia handset and you can install it that way.
