How to Backup Your Instagram Photos
Given the recent media flurry over Instagram’s changes to its Terms of Service you may have been considering whether or not to close your Instagram account. However, before taking that step, you might like to backup your photos or transfer them to an alternative service.
Fortunately, there is a service called Instaport which can provide you a means to download your images in a ZIP file. The ability to transfer to an alternative service is currently being worked on but at least you can store a local copy of your images and upload them wherever you fancy as an interim measure.
All you need to do is sign into Instagram in Instaport and then follow the prompts to download your photos. It may take a little while for your ZIP file to be prepared (based upon the number of photos you have uploaded to Instagram) so if you’re a heavy user then you might need to be patient.
