Here it is, potentially one of the most anticipated tablets to hit the market – Microsoft Surface!
I ordered this back on 17/10/2012 @ 0930 hours and despite the heavy traffic on the Microsoft Store website I managed to get my order through the gate. I ended up ordering the standard 32GB Surface with black Touch Cover on the off chance that it would arrive more quickly. I toyed with the idea of getting the standalone tablet and purchasing a Type Cover but decided I should try out the Touch Cover first.
Fortunately, my Surface and bundled Touch Cover arrived on Friday just after lunch while a colleague who went with a standalone Surface and a colour Touch Cover was left without anything. That said, Microsoft still has time to make good on its delivery date of November 6th for early adopters in Australia.
Anyway, here is the unboxing video for the Microsoft Surface which includes a good look at the tablet itself towards the end of the video if you find unboxings aren’t your thing. I also show how the keyboard connects to the tablet with that confident click that Microsoft has been touting. For those wanting more detail, I am going to do a preview video shortly to show more of the device plus the out of box experience.
FYI – the video will be available in up to 1080p if you click on the YouTube icon under the video and change the resolution setting there.
This video was shot on a Panasonic X900M camcorder.
