Windows 8 – Reinstalling Bundled Apps
The Windows 8 tips keep on coming!
Earlier this week I found that a number of Metro apps stopped working for some reason so the obvious solution was to uninstall and reinstall them. You might think that the bundled apps that come with Windows 8 are special in that they only exist when a fresh installation of Windows 8 is completed but that is not the cause.
You can quite easily uninstall a bundled app (such as Weather, Finance or Sport) and then reinstall it again from the Windows Store by doing the following:
- Hit Window+C (within the Windows Store),
- Select Search,
- Typing in the name of the app and then press Enter.
There’s no need to be without the bundled apps if you do happen to remove them for whatever reason.
