Current Cost EnviR CT Clamp Installation
It’s taken a while but I’ve finally arranged for an electrician to come out to install the CT clamp for the Current Cost EnviR Power Monitor in the electrical meter cupboard outside. Given that I was taking today off to get an extra day for the long weekend and also take delivery of a brand new Panasonic fridge I figured I could also get a sparky out to do the quick job – I have engaged Dr Electrcian for this piece of work who also has a Twitter account.
Yes, there were dodgy ways of installing it myself but I just didn’t want to take the risk particularly if something goes wrong – never been a big fan of mucking around with electrical wiring and I probably would have made a very nervous electrician!
Anyway, I’m looking forward to being able to finally track our electricity usage as we go along and work out quickly what are major electrical consumers are in the household and hopefully put in some measures to reduce our bill.
