A few days ago I shared my lament of the partial death of my Logitech G9x mouse and my selection of the Logitech G700 Wireless Gaming Mouse as its successor. As usual, I have managed to do an unboxing video and merged it with a preview of the mouse itself at the same time.
The major differences between the G9x and G700 mice boil down to the following:
- extra buttons on the G700 (four side buttons versus two on the G9x),
- scroll wheel gear button location on top of the mouse on the G700 (underneath on the G9x),
- no weight customisation on the G700 (G9x included weights that slot inside the mouse),
- profile indicator lights are on the side on the G700 and non-colour coded (on the top and colour-coded for the G900),
- the G700 is wireless and can be recharged while in use (the G9x is wired),
- the shape and contouring of the mice do differ with the G700 being more raised while the G9x sits lower and flatter with interchangeable grips.
Anyway, with mice being as unique as they are these days it’ll take me a little while to adjust to the new mouse across productivity applications and gaming (not that I will be doing too much of that during university). In the meantime, enjoy the unboxing and preview video below and, if you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment.
FYI – the video will be available in up to 1080p (YouTube can take a little while to process the higher resolutions) if you right click on the video and choose “Watch on YouTube” and change the resolution setting.
Stay tuned for the review video!
