Everywhere You Go, Always Take the Weather With You
Here’s a quick tip for tonight.
I’ve mentioned this in passing in prior blogs but it’s worth a mention by itself.
Sometimes, you need to keep an eye on the weather if you have pets at home who don’t fancy thunderstorms or if there is a hailstorm warning and you want to track its trajectory. Whatever your need or motivation then the BOM radars will probably help you out with your storm watching needs.
All you need to do is go here and select the radar closest to you then select the desired radar range. Available ranges can vary from radar to radar but you should be able to start at 64km or 128km and go all the way out to a national loop. You should also be able to find a BOM radar app for your smartphone or tablet (unofficial ones as there doesn’t appear to be an official app as far as I have seen for the major platforms).
Either way you can get to the BOM radar, it’ll be good way to help work out how much time you might have left before it buckets down.
