Patience Required for Aussie Zune Music Pass on Windows Phone Devices
Here’s a quick update for those of you who have jumped in and subscribed to the Zune Music Pass service in Australia.
Hopefully, you’ve enjoyed using the service through the Zune desktop client and via the Zune website (which I find handy at work to play some tunes while I work) however there is a minor snag with owners of Windows Phone devices.
Apparently, Windows Phones check in with the mothership when they are recharging and you should allow 24 to 48 hours for the service to appear on your phone. This is confirmed by the Windows Australia Blog here while a tweet by @ZuneSupport on Twitter advised to wait up to a week before following up with Microsoft.
So, in the meantime, my Samsung Omnia 7 is plugged in and recharging. If you can’t wait though a hard reset will also work but you’ll have to setup all of your mail and social network accounts again and reinstall and reconfigure all of your apps.
