Sony’s “PSN Welcome Back” Pack – Get Two Free Games!

Here’s a quick heads up for those of you with a PS3 and a PSN account.

To compensate people for the inconvenience caused by the unavailability of the PlayStation Network, Sony is offering PS3 owners the ability to get two games for free from a choice of five games, specifically:

  • Dead Nation,
  • InFamous,
  • LittleBigPlanet,
  • Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty,
  • Wipeout HD/Fury.

There’s a whole stack of information available on the PSN News site here along with eligibility requirements so I won’t repeat what is already stated on the page.

So what am I going to select?

Well, LittleBigPlanet seemed to get very good reviews when it was released and I have been a bit of a fan of platform games for many years. Sure, there is a sequel out but if I can get the original for nothing then it can only be a good thing. As for my second choice, I have always been a fan of racing games. I loved F-Zero on the SNES for its insane speeds and incredible difficulty on the later levels and this game appears to follow suit with various weapons and powerups (a la Mario Kart which is another favourite of mine).
