Push Content to Android Devices with Chrome to Phone

Sometimes it can be a pain having to e-mail URLs or finding cross-platform bookmark syncing solutions when you just want to be able to quickly look at a webpage you are currently viewing on a mobile device. Perhaps you want to have the ability to copy and paste text from a webpage in Chrome on your desktop to your phone (since typing on that tiny soft keyboard can be time consuming).

Well, you can do these things using Chrome to Phone which is a free browser extension for Google Chrome.

One other neat feature is the ability to highlight a phone number on a webpage, right click and have it sent to the dialer on your phone ready to call.

Otherwise, to send the current web address to your phone just click on the Chrome to Phone button in the browser toolbar.

Laziness or convenience? Personally, I reckon it’s great to see this sort of interactivity between the desktop and mobile devices and will be watching closely to see where Google takes this functionality.
