Finding Out About COM-MID1 On Your Network
Here’s a quick tip.
If you’ve logged into your router and have found COM-MID1 in the list of hosts with IP addresses I wouldn’t blame you for thinking that your home network might have been compromised. Whilst I don’t discourage such a reaction it is prudent to do some investigation before jumping to conclusions.
In this case, COM-MID1 is a hostname commonly assigned to the Wi-Fi adapters found in Panasonic products. It’s a bit odd that you can’t provide an alternative name in the settings for Panasonic products particularly given that you can tweak almost every other setting.
However, it is worth knowing that if you’ve got multiple Panasonic products with Wi-Fi connectivity you could well have multiple entries for COM-MID1 so you may need to do some trial and error if you’re wanting to determine which device is which.

It appears to also be used with Vizio TV’s.
MAC number would help to id it as some digits are allocated to the manufacturer.
Mine is 48:a9:d2:61:xx:xx which is a Panasonic TV.,
