Playing MKV Videos Over DLNA
Just a quick update for today.
I am looking at a solution to get MKV files to play on DLNA-compliant devices. Strictly speaking, DLNA players won’t play MKV videos as the MKV format wasn’t included as part of the DLNA specification so the only option here appears to be to use a transcoder such as Serviio.
I’m going to give Serviio a go and see if it does the trick – stay tuned!
