Paul Thurrott again expands the collection of his popular field guide series with his completed “Microsoft Band Field Guide”. The book concerns itself with the Microsoft’s fitness tracker and also includes information on Microsoft’s Health app and service.
This field guide comes in at 69 pages and shouldn’t be an onerous read for existing or potential Microsoft Band owners. It covers everything from the hardware itself right through to configuring your goals and how to use guided workouts. There’s even a section on how to link your Microsoft Band with your Starbucks card and pay for coffee with your Band.
However, the most valuable information for potential owners may be in the section dedicated to help work out if the device is right for you. Whilst you may have read our review on the Microsoft Band, the “Before you start” section in Paul’s guide is a great starting point in determining if the Band is fit for your requirements.
If you want a copy of Paul Thurrott’s Microsoft Band Field Guide 1.0 you can grab a copy here for freein PDF, MOBI and ePub formats. The book will be updated as software updates are released for the Band and the Health app. You will also find links to Paul’s other field guides for Windows 8.1, Xbox Music, Surface Pro 3 and Windows Phone most of which are also free to download.
