Kill the Music Player in Windows Phone 8
Here’s a quick tip for Windows Phone 8.
If you’ve fired up a music player but have stopped the music and exited the app you may find that when you adjust the volume you get the larger volume control sliding down from the top of the screen with the music player controls and cover art. I find this really annoying as I can’t get at the top row of tiles (which are the smallest size on my phone) until the volume control times out.
One thing you can do to alleviate the problem is download an app called Kill My Music from the Windows Phone Store – as the name suggests it will kill whatever music player maybe lurking in the background and get you back the slim volume control bar.
