How to Check for Updates on Windows Phone 8
Here’s a quick tip if you want to force a a check for updates on Windows Phone 8 which can be handy if you have a Nokia handset which tends to receive more firmware updates that handsets from other manufacturers.
Anyway, here is how you do it:
- Hit the Start button,
- Swipe from right to left,
- Locate Settings in the list and tap on it,
- Scroll down the list and locate phone update and tap it,
- Tap check for updates.
After that, just wait while your phone checks for an update and, if an update is offered, you can kick it off from there.
