As advised a couple of days ago, here’s the unboxing video of the Panasonic HC-SC57DB micro Hi-Fi.
This was a surprise gadget after winning having a winning entry in a recent monthly mission in the Panasonic Insider Crew. I did have my eyes on this Hi-Fi for a while but hadn’t gotten around to pulling the trigger which ended up working out rather nicely.
Anyway, in terms of physical build it feels quite solid and the glossy black finish should fit in nicely with most environments. The controls across the top are easily accessible but you’ve also got the remote control and a smartphone app for iOS but absent for Android or Windows Phone. I also have tried audio via AirPlay from my desktop and it performs quite well although I will need to tune the equaliser to suit my preference.
Other things to note is that this unit is only compatible with 802.11b and 802.11g networks. If you have 802.11n networks which refuse access to prior generation Wi-Fi devices then you will need to change your Wi-Fi network settings. Also, if you want to use the recommended Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) method of connecting this device to your home network then your network will need to be using WPA or WPA2 encryption as WEP is unsupported by WPS.
Anyway, here is the unboxing video for the Panasonic HC-SC57DB micro Hi-Fi.
FYI – the video will be available in up to 1080p if you click on the YouTube icon under the video and change the resolution setting there.
This video was shot on a Panasonic X900M camcorder.
