Capture Screenshots in Windows Phone 8
While there aren’t any Windows Phone 8 devices out just yet this is a good tip to keep in mind if you’re thinking about getting one.
A while ago, I posted about how to capture screenshots under Windows Phone 7 using a very hacky method which required you to have a developer unlocked phone. This particular requirement would have put the solution out of reach for most as they wouldn’t of had developer accounts or wanted to stump up the $99 for a developer account.
Fortunately, Microsoft has finally addressed this gap in Windows Phone 8 and screen capturing is literally a snap. All you need to do is press the Start and power buttons at the same time and you should hear the camera shutter sound. The screenshot will be saved in the Pictures hub under the Screenshots album.
Easy stuff!
