Just a quick tip for today.
I am currently in the process of selling a vehicle and have found that getting out to the RTA can time consuming. Driving out to the closest branch, waiting your turn to get called up to the counter, explaining what you want, filling in a form, etc. if your time is at a premium then it is worth checking out myrta.com and seeing if you can complete your activities online.
For me, the first port of call is the notice of disposal which lets the RTA know that I am no longer the registered owner followed by a transfer of registration within fourteen days of lodging the notice of disposal. Both of these activities can be completed online without visiting an RTA branch which can save you time and hassle particularly if you end up going at a time when everyone else fancies. However, for other activities such as the collection, deposit or exchange of a physical object such as number plates you will still need to visit a nominated RTA branch.
I hate waiting in queues and generally if I can do something online then that will be my first choice.
