For a while, I have been putting up with the broken mouse buttons on my faithful Logitech G9x which gave up the ghost after several years of service. I was a bit disappointed as the G9x is a great mouse with the ability to customise the weight of the device but I didn’t fancy the extra cord on my desk. Normally, wireless mouses are seen as an enemy of gaming given that response times make all the difference and wired mice were seen as the one and only solution.
Anyway, I could have gotten myself another G9x mouse as they are quite affordable and can be had for around AU$80 at present but I wanted more buttons.
MOAR BUTTONS!
Believe it or not, the two extra buttons on the G9x were great but once you get used to having them you do want to have more of them. Sure, I have programmable buttons on my Logitech G19 keyboard but it’s not always convenient to use those when you are in the thick of things.
Enter the Logitech G700 Wireless Gaming Mouse!
It’s got a massive thirteen buttons on it which should cater for even the most seasoned of gamers or for those people who are looking to get crazy with their productivity applications and map commonly used functions to each button. I’m probably not so much on the extreme end of things but I reckon I will make good use of at least half the buttons on it and adapt my usage as I become more familiar with it.
Anyway, stay tuned for the unboxing and preview video!
