Easily Resize Images Under Windows Vista and Windows 7
Another quick tip for tonight.
Under Windows XP you could install a variety of “Powertoys” that would add extra functionality to the operating system that was missing out of the bo. One such function was the ability to quickly and easily resize images which relied upon a third party solution unless you installed the Powertoy. Unfortunately, since the release of Windows Vista and Windows 7 this functionality was only offered when attempting to send a picture as an attachment from within Windows Explorer.
If you do a lot of image resizing then you might find Image Resizer for Windows handy. It offers a number of target sizes plus the ability to specify a custom size very much like the original Windows XP Powertoy. You can also choose to resize the original picture instead of making smaller copies. All you need to do is right click on a picture, click on “Resize Pictures” and choose your options.
Couldn’t be simpler!
