Another quick tip for today.
A lot of companies these days have an online presence and, in the interest or keeping down staff costs, often refer people to interact online for things such as bookings, general information, transactions or support requests. Most of the time, whilst consumer can benefit from the convenience of using a service online there may not always be direct monetary benefit in doing so but there are some services that reward you with a discount off the standard price for booking online.
One such example is the long term car park at Sydney International Airport. Putting aside the costs of parking in an airport car park these days you can save a bit of money by booking your parking online. To park your car for six days at the international terminal normally would cost AU$216 but booking online will instead cost AU$162 (which is a saving of $54 or 25%). Of course, there are alternatives such as public transport (such as train) or parking in the remote long term car park for AU$107 and then getting two buses out to the international terminal.
At the end of the day though, it can pay to check for benefits for online bookings but it can be equally as beneficial to shop around for alternative solutions that can save you even more money.
