Keep Your Firefox Plugins Secure
Regular readers would know that I like to keep my computers fully patched to help prevent against nasty things from getting into them and that I also encourage others to do the same since one compromised computer can cause problems for many other people. One thing that can be overlooked is the humble browser plugin which is rarely given a second thought once it has been installed.
For Firefox users, Mozilla have a great little page that checks your plugin versions and will tell you whether or not you have a version that is obsolete. It’s called Plugin Check (which seems sensible enough) and takes pretty much all of the pain out of keeping everything up to date apart from the installation of each updated plugin which you will need to kick off manually.
So when you have a spare moment give it a quick check every now and then to help keep your browser experience safe.
