However, in Windows 10, this has been slashed back down to just <strong>10 devices<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>What you may not realise is whenever you install an app on a device under your login it is added to your Microsoft account. This isn&#8217;t made explicit during the initial app installation process so you could have a huge number of devices clogging up your Microsoft account.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_6779\" style=\"width: 1209px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mingersoft.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Microsoft-Account-Device-List.png\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6779\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6779\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mingersoft.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Microsoft-Account-Device-List.png?resize=847.5%2C913\" alt=\"Microsoft Account Device List\" width=\"847.5\" height=\"913\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mingersoft.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Microsoft-Account-Device-List.png?w=1209&amp;ssl=1 1209w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mingersoft.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Microsoft-Account-Device-List.png?resize=278%2C300&amp;ssl=1 278w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mingersoft.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Microsoft-Account-Device-List.png?resize=950%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 950w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mingersoft.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Microsoft-Account-Device-List.png?resize=900%2C970&amp;ssl=1 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 847px) 100vw, 847px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-6779\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Microsoft Account Device List<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Fortunately, it&#8217;s easy to clean it up as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Goto <a href=\"https:\/\/account.microsoft.com\/devices\">https:\/\/account.microsoft.com\/devices<\/a> and login,<\/li>\n<li>Browse the list for devices you no longer use\/own,<\/li>\n<li>Click on the remove link next to the device (it may say &#8220;Remove phone&#8221;, &#8220;Remove tablet&#8221; or Remove PC&#8221;),<\/li>\n<li>On the following screen, tick &#8220;I&#8217;m ready to remove this device&#8221;,<\/li>\n<li>Click &#8220;Remove&#8221;,<\/li>\n<li>Click &#8220;Back to Devices&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You should also remove your Microsoft account from these devices.
