This has been a feature in Android for a while and more recently in iOS. Sure, it doesn&#8217;t take too much effort to go and see if there are updates available and click the &#8220;Update all&#8221; button but this is a convenience that I reckon most will appreciate.<\/p>\n<p>However, if you like to keep tabs on what apps want to update then you can always disable automatic updates as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the Windows Store,<\/li>\n<li>Swipe in from the right and go to\u00a0<strong>Settings,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Tap\u00a0<strong>App Updates<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li>Toggle the option to\u00a0<strong>Automatically update my apps<\/strong> to\u00a0<strong>No<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>All done!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another quick Windows 8.1 tip.
