Attempting to use the microphone on a Lync call was a fruitless exercise with the other party unable to hear me. Even with the levels cranked right up for the microphone it wouldn&#8217;t work.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe it is just my particular laptop but to get around this issue I had to use iPhone headphones with built-in microphone to get things going. The headphone jack on the T520 accepts headphones with integrated microphones rather than offer a dedicated microphone socket.<\/p>\n<p>I was lucky to be saved by the fact that I carry around a number of &#8220;just in case&#8221; items on this occasion \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another quick tip for today.
